first your character should be in a certain class.
1. Ranged
2. Close Combat
Your character can use a mix of these classes, but should be strong in one style.
1. Ranged - This means anything from Firearms/Ranged Weaponry to Support Magic. If it's something that fires or shoots that's long range. Even if it's a pistol that needs to be fired point blank to work, that's ranged. Ranged Weaponry and Firearms include Throwing Knives/Kunai, Shiruken, Crossbows, Longbows, Slingshot, Pistols, Rifles, Machine Guns, Shotguns, Laser Guns, Grenades, Grenade Launchers, Rocket Launchers/RPG's and anything else you can think of. Support Magic can include both Destructive Spells and Healing spells that don't require contact to initiate them. This means Fireballs, Lightning Bolts, Air Bursts, Floods/Water Shots, Heal Spells, and any other spell you can think up fall under here.
2. Close Combat - This means anything that your character can hold in their hands (in fact, it could even be their hands), and use to slash, stab or beat their enemies/victims with. This includes Bare Hands and Feet, Claws/Talons, Boxing Gloves, Swords (katana, claymore, you name it…as long as it ain't a lightsaber), Poles/Bo, Nunchuckau, Spears, Tonfa, or anything else that could possibly have a blade or blunt end to use in combat. This could also be a 'Ki' ability amongst some unarmed fighters, for instance if they can call up a power to use to make them stronger, faster or tougher in a fight. A stealth abilties.
Please note, that you should keep weapons fairly realistic. If your character's a little scrawny, he or she shouldn't be lugging around a giant claymore. However, I'm not going to be a total spoilsport, as some weapons you should just have plain ol' fun with.
Points System
Okay, from now on...THERE IS NONE. You fight free-form and hopefully within reason. There may be a few hiccups and several people trying to exploit this or be victims if it. If there are complaints of God-Modding, then please come to us and we'll try to rectify the situation, or put someone in order. But otherwise, don't worry about points
